Import data from XML link

Hi,

I am totally new to this, so please help me...

I was given a link and user name and password to download data from a link... When I clicked the link (https://ws-test.brreg.no/grunndata/ErFr?WSDL), it turned out to be XML data... I have not downloaded XML data from before and so I googled and found Power BI can do this and so I just installed...

However, when I followed the steps from online tutorial and used New Source -> More -> XML, I got error message as below... Can anyone help to solve this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi YYYTTTT,

From your description, it seems that the issue occurs when you are expanding types column, right?

If you are able to download XML file from that site, please get data from this XML file via XML data source in Power BI desktop to see if the same issue occurs. Also please update the Power BI desktop to the latest version.

If still has issue, please share the XML file with us if possible.

Regards,

Jimmy Tao

Hi, no, it still does not work...

I have uploaded the xml file in the original post... sorry I can not provide the user name and password (but it doesnt help even if I provide those, becasue you have to access the link from our company IP address... )!
