Import a calculated table in another PBIX file

Hi there.

i've built a calcilated table with UNION(T1,T2,T3) function and I've created lots of columns and measures on this table.

Now I need to import that table in another PBIX file, with all my calculated columns and measures. Of course i've imported the original tables T1,T2,T3 in the new PBIX file.

Is that possibile?

thanks.

  • This is not easily achieved. See DQ data set chaining.

Normally best practise is to do your model logic in the earliest possible step. So for instance in SQL, before Power BI.

  • There are few techniques, which could be helpful to bulk movement of measures from one to another PBIX file.
    for example-
1 - For bulk copy measures, open two instances of Tabular editor, and then select measures in bulk  then CTRL +C from one instance and then CTRL + V in another instance, in a selected table.
2- You can also use visual studio code to do the same.
Check out below for a demonstration.
