Anonymous It sounds like you want to create a live connection, which is an interesting thought seeing as how the underlying technology is the same as tabular in SSAS, but "no" you currently can't do this. I don't see the difference between having an Excel file or PBIX file in a restricted folder... If someone were to gain access, either file would be accessible.
