Import Power BI Metadata

Hi There,
We have an excel file with information about tables/columns descriptions. We want to populate them into the model  itself.
Any sugestions on how to do that?

There is no way to do this in Power BI Desktop at present. There are no APIs available which allow for editing the model metadata.

When the read/write XMLA endpoint is released on PowerBI.com you will be able to do this on Premium capacties on PowerBI.com, but it's not clear yet whether models edited in such a way can then be opened in Desktop after they've been modified.
