    Support for binary data type display is not yet available in Power BI Desktop.

Hi,

 

Actually I see the option of specifying an image URL as a workaround, but not as the solution. I was really hoping for having Power BI fetching data from a binary column just like SSAS. After all we can do this with Power View since SharePoint and Excel 2010.

 

If I go about specifyign images URL now I have to place my images in some sort of public accessible http server, which is quite annoying, really :(

    Any news on this? I'd really like to display images stored in an SSAS MD cube, with live connection.

    So there's also not the possibility to mark a column as image in the model, since you cannot edit anything.
