Identify Quickly on Sales Trend Down by each customer so can take action quickly

Hi Everyone ,

I would like to have 1 dashboard which identify each customer over the year from Jan to Oct 2022 , whether this customer is having sales trend down or increasing ? if any customer having sales trend down , i would like to flag this up. So people would be able to know that , The sales of this customers is coming down.  I have no view of how this can be made and calculated by flagging those .
Can anyone sharing me the best practice and sample of how to analyze quickly on each customer ?

Thank you for your help

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

I think I did not clearly describe my thoughts. What I mentioned was that what is your definition of Trend Down?

By weekly moving average does not tell clearly.

I tried to create a sample pbix file like below and the attached file, and please define which cusomter shows Trend UP and which customer shows Trend Down. And then, some measures can be created to flag.

Or, please share your sample pbix file's link.

Hi,

In my opinion, it depends on how you or stakeholders define what is considered as Trend Down.

For instance, my team in the company defines this like below.

- compare monthly average quantity between Jan2022~previousmonth of the last complete month 2022 (in this case, Aug.2022) VS. Last complete month 2022 ( in this case, Sep2022)

I also heard from other teams in different companies and they define like below.

- compare Jan.2022 VS. Last complete month

I believe one of the correct ways to define Trend Down is, ask stakeholders what they want to see on the Power BI report.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
