Hi Guys,
I'm trying to create a 'Proportion Uptake' column in Power BI Query Editor using simple calculation but it errors from second row onwards as there are some zeros in my Denominator data. The query I have so far is:
= Table.AddColumn(#"Add Subtotal2", "Proportion Uptake", each [12c. Total successful sign ups] / [#"12. Number of people offered sign-up"] * 100)
How can I add an IF clause to the front of this to say that if column "12. Number of people offered sign-up" is not zero then perform the division, else insert 0? I can't seem to get the syntax in a way that PBI likes.

did you try ?
= Table.AddColumn(#"Add Subtotal2", "Proportion Uptake", each if [#"12. Number of people offered sign-up"] = 0 then 0 else [12c. Total successful sign ups] / [#"12. Number of people offered sign-up"] * 100)

This has worked perfectly thank you. I must have been close several times! Thank you for taking the time to help me with this, I'm in a huge rush so it is really appreciated
In power query/M you have to use If then else

= if [column] = 0 then <> else <>
