IF function cross tables

I was trying to use IF function to cross check 2 different tables. However it does not work as it is 2 separate tables. Do i really have to merge or append the tables? Below is my formula:  Match = I...

    No you don't have to. You just need to utilize the DAX formula RELATED().

     

    Try to use it like this: Match = If('table A'[template] = RELATED('table B'[template]), "Yes", "No")
