I like to know for best practice , it is best not to use initial select button ?

Hi All

I like to know for best practice , it is best not to use initial select button ? Because :-

- Use don't need to touch the initial select button.

- All filter making use of filter panel.

- So that less confuse.

Hope some one can share with me.

If you ask three people that question you will get four opinions. Your audience (and their expectations) may be very different from anyone else's.  "Less confusing"  for some means "totally non-obvious"  to others.

Have a look at Jacob Nielsen and general usability research.  Then observe your users interacting with your creation (do NOT listen to them, only watch) and then you can decide what the best path for you is to guide their use experience.  Things to consider:

- good use of screen real estate

- reduction in number of clicks required

- "natural"  eye guidance across the screen (caution: this is culture dependent)

- accessibility considerations

- appropriate amount of data on screen.
