I can't get unique set of items to relate to another table properly.

Hey Folks, I have:  2 dimension tables, Catalog and Item.  CatalogLink which ties items to catalogs, which can have many items on one catalog, and many catalogs tie to any one item.  Inventory which has multiple rows for any one item.  They look something like this:

GOAL:  Catalog slicer driving a Table/Matrix giving me the items (distinctly) on any of the selected catalogs, and a sum of Inventory[QTY] for each item.  When I build the visual, adding Catalog[itemID]  and Item[ItemID] to the table, it works perfectly.  I see a unique list of the items for the selected catalogs.  However, as soon as I add a measure from Inventories, it goes to heck.  Before and After:

If it helps, after is returning every Catalog [ItemID] (distinctly) , there seems to be no rhyme or reason for the return on item[ItemID], but that 202 is indeed the SUM_Available for item 474.

Any Insight or assistance appreciated.

Thanx

Phil

If your relationships are built like

Set cross filter direction to both on the relationship between catalogLink and itemTable.

That should give you the ability to filter inventory QTY by catalog
