Hi, I cannot add a new visual into my Power BI Desktop report. It keeps showing this message. I've been searching the internet for the solution but none of them working so far. I borrow a different PC using my account and it is working fine. I've tried Firewall and Proxy setting, it worked one time and then just stop working. Please give me some suggestion with detail screenshot showing how it should be set up if possible. Thank you in advance.
@cicinguyen Could you try to unistall the lastest Oct version and install the last month version and try.
HI,
1- Please try to see if you're using the latest version of power bi going to help and then in about in your Power-Bi desktop, and if not, please update it.
2- If the problem persist, try to unnistall and install again in your PC, make sure to download the latest version in Microsoft site
Hi, it still not working.
Hi @cicinguyen ,
Could you please provide the following info for further troubleshooting?
1. Clear cache and restart Power BI Desktop: Go to Options > Global > Data Load > Clear Cache
2. Import the custom visual manually after restarted Power BI Desktop :
3. Which custom visual you are trying to import? Could you please provide the custom visual name or file?
Best Regards
I did all of those but it is still not working. Here is some screenshoot. The custom visual I try to import is the Timeline Slicer as the picture below. I also tried to import other visuals but none is working.
Clear cache not working.
Download app showed error can't not reach like the picture. I also attach my proxy and firewall setting.
Hi @cicinguyen ,
Thanks for your reply with the details. Base on your description, it seems like you can't import any custom visual with the current account. Could you please try another account to load it? In addition, I attached the downloaded timeline slicer file. Could you please try to import it manually and check if it can be loaded successfully?
Import a visual file from your local computer into Power BI
Best Regards
Hi, I actually can download and import the file you sent into Power BI. But i still can not download sample or import directly with any account.
As I have mentioned before, I can download custom visual using my account on a different computer that I borrowed.
Hi @cicinguyen ,
It seems that your account is OK, the cause of problem may be in your computer... Because you can import the custom visual in another computer when sign in with the same account. And the version of Power BI Desktop is also the latest one.
Best Regards
You have any ideas what causes the problem?
