Hyperlink to Power Bi Report

Hi,

I have an Excel spreadsheet with a hyperlink to a Power Bi report.  This is the hyperlink address: https://app.powerbi.com/groups/3a713e54-1510-4888-be91-cdbb75bfc8cd/reports/4d3a130e-730c-4d53-8922-...

The problem is, when I click on it, it opens two instances of the report.  This is happening with every hyperlink I create.

Does anyone know why and how to stop this from happening?

I've worked out a fix for this.  If you open the actual report and copy the URL and use this as your hyperlink that it will open 2 instances of the report in the browser (Chrome)

If you sign out of Power Bi and then click the link, it'll ask you to sign in.  Do ths, navigate to your report via the workspace and open it.  Now copy this URL and use as your hyperlink - this will be quite a bit longer than just opening the report and using that URL.

Works for me now anyway

Hi

I'm using Office 365 and the browser is Chrome.  I have switched the default broswer over to IE and the hyperlink only opened one tab but after changing back to Chrome, it's opening two tabs again!

Hi @Anonymous ,

This seems to be a known Excel (Office) problem.
Have the same behavior.
Unfortunately I haven't found a current solution yet.
