So I have a timeline set up that correlates a date and time for when a pump turns on or off. The issue im having is i'm trying to use a line chart to visualize it, and there is a slope between 2 timestamps, whereas I want it to look like a square wave, as soon as the pump turns on, it goes from 0-1, instead of sloping from 0-1 from point to point.
So, for example, say I have a time at 3:00PM, and the value at that time is 0, or off, then, at 3:02 PM, someone turns the pump on, and the value goes to 1. I only have data points when the status of the pump changes. With the current line chart, there is a slope from 3 to 3:02, but I would like it to go from 0 to 1 immediatly at 3:02 with a vertical line, is there any way to visualize this in powerbi?

The line chart will always show change between data points gradually with a smooth line. If you need to show the change significantly, I suggest you try other type charts like column charts.

Unfortunately a column chart will only draw constant-width bars each time there is a 1, with the center at the time the pump turns on. I've made the same experience, and funnily my data is also coming from a pump.
Any other ideas, anyone? Many thanks!
Area chart does not work - same slopes, but area below is filled. I have not found a solution so far, either.
