How to use values as rows with drill down possibility for lookups

Hi all,

I have built a managementreport before in PowerBI. But to fulfil the requirements I had to do quiete a workaround. I was wondering if theres an easier way to achieve that what I need. I will explain.

To simplify, here is a drawing of what I want to achieve.

First, I want my measures to show as rows. I can do this via Values and then select the option 'use values as rows'.

This looks great, I can get all my measures as rows and it's a nice overview. The next thing my users want to do, is to drill down on the Measure to see where they need to take actions (the drill down should show the lookup tables. For example Sector / Department / Region / City. This is where my problem is. Does anybody know how to get this result:

Thank you very much.

  • Hi DeBIe ,

This is not feasible. First of all, in martix visual, the ability to drill down into fields in rows is predicated on having a hierarchical structure.

Also measure is a metric, which is calculated as a result of aggregation, and cannot be drilled down on this basis.

Or you can enable "Show on line" to achieve something like this

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

    Best Regards,
    Henry

I understand why it's not possible to realize this requirement. Thanks for your time and for explaining.
