How to update data source in a posted report in fabric

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but here goes nothing. Any help is appreciated.

I need to update the path of the source file of a report that has been uploaded to Fabric. I created a new data connection already, but now I just need to tie it to the report. I can't reupload the pbix file with the updated path because several large scale changes to the report were made in fabric and the local desktop file is severely outdated. Redoing those changes in the desctop file would take ages, assuming I can even do it since the changes were made by another party.

Is that soure path parameterized or did you hard code it?

Hello. I'm not sure what you mean by that question. The source file was originally a local file that the developer used from his computer. But he has since left and the original file was moved to sharepoint. I just need to update the path so that I can update the report as additional information comes in.

Changing the path in the desktop file seems to be your only option.
