How to trigger Power BI refresh from Appian (eg using a https link or a API plug in)

I have a Power BI dataset using import mode, a SQL datasource, gateway and schedule refresh.

It works wonderfully.

I have an Appian system that updates the SQL datasource ad-hoc.

I would like Appian to trigger the Power BI refresh immediately after each update.

Have any of you triggered a refresh from Appian?

Perhaps using either using a htts link or  API plug in.

Can you provide instructions, examples or screen prints?

Please understand that I am not asking how to refresh data from SQL or Appian … I know how to do that.

I am just asking how to trigger a fresh from Appian

Many Thanks.

@speedramps not sure how Appian works but if you can make a RestAPI call from Appian then you can use API Enhanced refresh with the Power BI REST API - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
