How to switch columns and values in matrix
Hi,
I am trying to change the way a matrix is displaying data. This is a screenshot of how it looks now:
Under each month, there are three values. What I want is to have the Month and the values switched, so it will say 'Amount' and have the sum for each month listed below. Is this possible to do with a single table?

crobson29 Not 100% on what you are going for here. You might be able to achieve it using "Switch values to rows". Alternatively, you might need to use the disconnected table trick. Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?
Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.- crobson29

Yeah, I am having trouble describing the issue. This is for the financial team to export to excel, and the ending result needs to be as close as possible to this:

crobson29 Uh oh, you appear to be in custom matrix hiearchy territory. Not fun. The New Hotness (Custom Matrix Hierarchy) - Microsoft Fabric Community
