How to sort total in a matrix with multiple row groups, where drilldown is at lowest level?

Hi all

I have set the matrix up as below:

Matrix sort.jpg

On the drilldown buttons, I have pressed the right hand button labelled 'At the lowest level of data'.

As you can see, the total sort order sorts by inner row groups (Lift Reference) per outer row group (Site Name), not just by inner row group (Lift Reference). Is there any way to sort the total just for the inner row group (Lift Reference) but still show the outer row group (Site Name)?

Cheers for all help

HI @ansa_naz,

Nope, I don't think you can direct sort by sub-total level, power bi will drill to detail records and sort by them.

Current power bi support to use one of axis or value field as sort order, you can also refer to following link to use 'sort by column' to define default sort order or records.
