I've just migrated from Power Pivot in Excel to Power BI Desktop. As we know, in Excel's Power Pivot, double-clicking a number opens a new worksheet displaying the raw records associated with that number, with every row showing all fields. Yet Power BI Desktop seems to lack this feature entirely! Without this fundamental functionality, I'm at a loss to see the value of using Power BI Desktop for my work. Additionally, Microsoft removed the Power View control from Excel starting with the 2019 version—utterly baffling!

Hi @NickL25
Power BI Desktop doesn’t provide the exact same double-click functionality as Power Pivot in Excel where you could instantly drill into raw records on a new worksheet. Instead, Power BI is designed with a different workflow. If you want to replicate that kind of detailed record view, you can rebuild it using a matrix or table visual by adding the measures and columns you need to display. From there, you can apply the drillthrough feature so that when you right-click on a data point, you’re taken to a dedicated page that shows the underlying details (still based on the added fields) for that selection. Power BI encourages designing purpose-built detail pages rather than exposing the raw table directly.

Hi @NickL25,
Unfortunately this functionality (Single click)is not available in Power BI, however you can utilize drill through functionality to view detailes for a particular cell from MATRIX view.
To achieve that create a new page with all the required you want to see and filter on clicking on the cell in the MATRIX vies. Now add the required field to drill through filter on the visual pane in the details view page.
once done, now you can right click any cell in the MATRIX visual on your main page and select drill through option and select the detail page to see the nos.
