How to set default selection on Column Chart

Hi,   Is there a way to have a value on a Column Chart (or any non-slicer visual) selected by defualt?  I also have a relative date slicer in use - not sure if that matters.     Thank you!...

Which column do you want to select by default?

 

You could read through this thread which discussed about setting a bar chart to a default selection.

    Thank you Maggie.  I've read through the post before, but I don't think it addresses what I am looking for.  To answer your question, I would like the latest month to have a default selection.  In the image that would be 2018 December.  From there the user can unselect that or select another month.

     

    Does that make sense?
