I don't think it is possible to do what you suggest for the moment. I agree it would be great :)
A few solutions I can suggest though:
- Add a column with the rank of the sales so the user can see the impact of his column header click
- Bring in some conditional formatting on the sales column to give the user a clear view on what is the current sorting
