How to reduce data ?

Hi All

 

May i know how to reduce the data for PBI file ? So that i don't need to send the big file size to forum.

    Anonymous , keep only the required column. Disable date hierarchy, if not needed.

    Remove the visuals and pages you do not want to share

    • Uncheck Auto Date/Time in your pbix by navigating through Fileà Options & Settings-->Options-->Current File-->Data Load-->Auto Data/Time
        • Please make sure you are retrieving only the columns which are required , if the column is no longer required prior to importing please delete the unwanted columns in power query
        • if you don’t need certain rows of data, then filter them out

       

        • Make sure you clear cache from power bi desktop

      Hi All

      Thank you for all your sharing.

      Sorry my question is not so clear. what i mean is if my PBI file have 1000 row of data , may i know how to reduce to 10 row of data ?

        Anonymous  you can make use of Pivot Option OR  group by function in power query.
