How to prevent this extra filter on this visual from appearing when matrix visual is used

I am using a Matrix Visual in Power BI and there is hierarchy added with 4 levels, and when I drill up or drill down by clicking on any value under the Sup Org field, an extra filter automatically appears in the Filters Pane (as shown in the screenshot). Also, just FYI when I'm clicking on '+' or '-' icon directly to drill up or drill down this issue is not coming.

I want to prevent this additional filter from being applied when performing drill actions. I have already tried:

  • Turning off "Keep all filters" in the Drill options.

  • Disabling the Drill up, Drill down, and Expand all down buttons in the Visual Header settings.

  • Checking and clearing filters manually from the Filters Pane.

Despite these efforts, the extra filter still appears. How can I stop Power BI from automatically adding this filter during drill operations?

Any help would be appreciated!

HI @Anonymous,

Current it seems not support to accurately control these, maybe you can try to switch to use other filter(e.g. sync slicer) to pass these filter effect across report pages.

Don't use DrillDown?

Hi @Anonymous ,

To avoid filtering on individual fields, we recommend using the icons in the action bar. Enable the drill-down option by selecting the single downward arrow. Then, drill down or expand fields as needed. This approach helps maintain the desired data view without adding extra filters.
