How to order the breakdown in Waterfall chart

Power BI only lets you sort by category or value (y-axis) - the breakdown is only sorted by increasing or decreasing values.

If you need the breakdown in a specific order, I would recommend using "Simple Waterfall" which is a custom visual you can download if you go to "Get more visuals" in the Visualizations pane.

There, you would put in a table with a list of your breakdown items (just the names) that is already sorted in the "Category" section.

Then put a measure in the "Values" section where it calculates the values based on the breakdown item names.

You should include the start and end pillars, and then in the visualization settings you can define which breakdownitems are your pillars.
