How to moderate hyperlinks in reports?

Greetings all,

I've recently been tasked with figuring out a way to control/admin the hyperlinks that users put into their Power BI reports for security reasons. I'd like to be able to either turn off the user's ability to put hyperlinks in Power BI reports or somehow manage them. Our concern is that users could put potentially put unknowinlgly harmful links in their report and share it with others in our orginization.

I've checked the admin portal and the Power BI Desktop settings, but I haven't found a solution.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to disable this option for our users, but it appears it may be a built in Power BI functionallity.

Does anyone know how to disable this feature?

@khaledgraham great point but unfortunately I don't think there is a way to disable this. You should create an idea on the ideas forum and share it on social media to get votes. I'm sure others have similar needs.

Hi@khaledgraham

Sorry to tell you that It’s not supported now, perhaps you can submit the requirement to ideas and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/search-ideas/?q=disable%20hyperlinks

Hope it helps.

Best Regards,

Caitlyn Yan
