How to make overlapping clustered bar chart
Is there any way of creating a bar chart in BI that looks something like the one below? What i'm trying to represent is 2 separate values (in red and blue) along with previous year's values (in lighter shades behind the main bars). The dashed lines are target values. Is this possible using just the basic desktop BI interface? And if not what would be the best way to go about creating more advanced visuals like this?
Thanks

Hey cjacob ,
this is not supported by default charts.
I can imagine that you can create a visualization like that using the charticulator or deneb custom visual.
Both custom visauls are certified (and free) and available in the custom visual market place.

hi cjacob
Here is an overlapping clustered column chart with Multiple Target Lines Which will help you to plot target lines with an overlap column chart. Hope this helps you.

This was made with our Custom Visual creator tool PBIVizEdit.com. With this tool,
- anyone, irrespective of technical skills, can create their own visuals
- 15 minutes to create a visual from scratch
- opens up many additional attributes to edit (for e.g. labels, tooltips, legends position, etc)
Give this a shot and let us know if you face any problems/errors.
You can use the editor to modify your visual further (some modifications cannot be done in the Power BI window and have to be in the editor). Thanks,
