How to make connection between two tables from a database

I have two tables says Volcano and LavaContent  from same database and I have one column which is common in both say ID. The values in ID is same in both the table. Now I would like to have slicer where I put the filter on one of the column in Volcano and get details from LavaContent table in one of the visualization report. How to do it.

Please step by step guidance as I am new to this

  • Hi Anonymous,

    1. Open the Relationships pane;

    2. Drag the columns that you want to create relationship with from one table to another, release the mouse button.

    3. You can make some changes by double click the relationship line or open the Manage Relationships in the ribbon.
