How to make a slicer with only one value?

I have a dimension with 10 different values and I want to put it on a slicer with showing only one of the 10 values so the user can toggle it on/off. (the other 9 values should always remain on).

how can I create a slicer with only this 1 value?

  • You’d create:

    • Bookmark A → “All values included”

    • Bookmark B → “Value X excluded”

    Steps:

    1. Filter visuals (or the page) to exclude value X

    2. Create Bookmark “Exclude X”

    3. Clear the filter

    4. Create Bookmark “Include all”

    5. Use buttons to toggle between the two bookmarks

This gives the illusion of a slicer toggle.

  • Hi EugenioProlog

We can create a disconnected slicer table instead a direct dimension table which needs toggle then you need to create a measure that applies the toggle logic where you can use this in visual.

Please provide sample data of table along with the columns and the output you want to view based on slicer selection
