How to lock row order in matrix table while using field paramaters

I have a table with a toggle between YEAR, YEAR-MONTH, WEEK, and DAY. I am using a field parameter for this, and it works as expected. However, whenever I switch the view, the order of YEAR, YEAR-MO...

    I don't believe so.

You could create another column and tell they Year column to sort using that column but that has many down sides.

If you are using a chart you can sort by items in the ToolTip. Here for example I've created a measure that does column year (2019) minus this year (2024) but use ABS to make it positive. So 2017 is 7, 2016 is 6 etc

I guess you could include in in the matrix but if you have something in the columns you will need to shrink down all the columns.

    Hi Mariollo

    Unfortunetly No.

Every time when you switch to different level the sort by order setting will reset.

you can do one thing. create seperate table in which you define sorting order like latest to oldest date and assign ranking to 1 to 100 something like that

    Oct -24      1

    Sept -24    2

    Aug -24     3

    and so on.

then link your calendar table. and use sort by column value. by default whatever sorting you have created it will show the data accrodingly.

I hopr I answered your question!
