Hey everyone!
I have a problem with the data in my power bi report. For my master thesis I have to build a KPI dashboard with cycle time, performance and capacity which is working totally fine. So I have a data set wich contains the logistic information from the last 7 days and it is refresehed three times a day automatically by overwriting the previous excel file. My question is: can i somehow keep the old data in power bi, even though its gone from the file? I want to build an overview for all the KPIs and also do a little forecast but thats not possible if the data is gone.
Thank you 🙂

Hi @Anonymous ,
Incremental-refresh in Power BI might suit your need. For example, you could set it to store a whole year's data and only refresh the last 7 days' data.
Best Regards,
Jay

Hey Jay!
Thank you for your reply. I will try this. Can I still work with my data in power BI service when I Set up the incremental refresh and do new visuals? I have only used power bi desktop for now.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Yes you can.
But you will no longer able to download the pbix file form Power BI Service.
And there are some other limitations that you could check from the document.
Best Regards,
Jay
