How to keep data showing in Area Chart using X-Axis Constant Lines

I have an area chart with X-Axis constant lines from the Analytics tab.  The lines are based on release versions.

The date slicer is tied to the release start date and uses a between comparison.

I do not want any blank areas in the chart whenever someone adjusts the start date on the date slicer as shown below.  Ideally, the area chart would just leave the data on the left or right as-is or flow the data so that no blank areas appear.

Hi @ICW1972 ,

Based on the information you have provided, if the dataset itself is missing dates, this may result in a discontinuous area map. You might consider adding rows with zero or null metric values for these dates so that the area map will be presented continuously.

Or you can set the X-axis type to "Continuous" under the X-axis format option to achieve the results you are looking for.

Hi, thanks for replying!

There is no missing data.  What I am showing the two pictures in the post is that if you drag the date slicer node on the left to the right (max date), it just makes the data disappear.  The data is there.  If you drag the left button on the slicer to the left, it shows the data in that range.

The visualization should IMO resize itself to show the date range of the date slicer, removing any markers that are not within that date range.  Instead, it just shows blank areas.

If the user says, "I want to see data between the two dates X & Y", then the visual should only show data AND markers for that time period.  Instead, it seems designed to show markers regardless of what date filters are applied.
