How to keep a bookmark from reverting a slicer select

Hi all,

I have a power Module where on the first panel I have my user select a US state. When my user goes to the other panels, they are able to select a drop down menu I have created using bookmarks. The issue with this, is that when the user selects the button that triggers the drop down menu, the slicer reverts back to its original selection. So say if the user selected the state Maryland, and select the drop down menu button, it would revert back to California. Does anyone know how I can leave the slicer from reverting when I select the dropdown menu button. Or is there a way to create a dropdown menu without using bookmarks.

uncheck  data , then update the bookmark . 

if you want for a specific slicer.  then you can use :  selected visuals instead of all visuals
