How to improve city mapping
Hello, I'm attempting to map cities in the Dallas area using the filled map visualization. I have the data category set to City with only the name of the cities in that columns (Dallas, Fort Worth, Etc). I'm noticing that it's wanting to map the cities in Texas in other states. For instance, it's mapping the city of Clarksville Texas as Clarksville Tennessee. Is there any way to control this to where it only looks at the cities inside of Texas?

Hi dabsauce1012 ,
Try this:
4. Use Place category for columns with full location information While we encourage you to use geo-hierarchies in your maps, if you must use a single location column with full geographical information, you can set the data categorization to Place. For example, if the data in your column is full addresses, such as 1 Microsoft Way, Redmond Washington 98052, this generalized data category will work best with Bing.https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-map-tips-and-tricks
