I would like to be able to use Power BI to get data from a website.
When doing manually I go though these steps...
The last step downloads the csv file I'm looking for. Is this doable from within Power BI? Can I do this from Powe BI?
Thanks
Were you able to figure out how to perform this function using Power BI? I have a very similar situation. Once I manually export the data, I am able to produce the information that I would like. But am also looking to do it more automated without the manual log onto the web site (the site I'm attempting to grab data from does not have three factor authentication). but otherwise, fairly similar process.
I can only see this being possible/practical with some kind of API which would need to be implimented by the website owner.
There are ways of robotising the login and selection process but it would probably be a bit of a grey area, many websites use things like captcha to stop just that.
I'm looking for a solution to a similar problem. I want to connect to a secure website which requires log in details to be submitted before accessing the data. Any ideas ?
It may or may not be possible. Depending on the site's implementation. What's the website in question?
