How to highlight table base on user selection on another table visual?

Hello everyone,

What I am trying to do here is when user select/click A from the right table, left table "A" will be highlighted.

Both tables are joined.

i tried if (selectedvalue(righttable[column A] = selectedvalue(lefttable[column A],"red","Green")

turns out the whole column is hightlighted.

Thank in advance!!!!

  • Hi NeoChau

    To achieve the behavior you want, you need to create a disconnected table for selection, for example:

    And then you can use a measure for condutuional formatinh like

    selected color =
    if(SELECTEDVALUE(selections[Column1])=SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Column1]),"pink","white")
    Result

    The pbix is attached

    Think this might do it

    Measure =

    Var Vals=

    Calculate(

    Countrows( lefttable ),

    Keepfilters(

    Treatas(

    values( righttable[column a]),

    Lefttable[column a]

    )

    )

    )

    Return

    If(

    Vals > 0

    "Green",

    "Red"

    )

      Thanks! It works! but that will be a bit tricky to disconnect the table.
