How to handle 404 error while pulling data dynamically from an API portal invoking a Custom function

Hi all: Good day! I have some events info that I pull from a database table. It has an unique ‘Id’ for an event. I display events on a ‘Summary table’. I now want to have some details info [e.g. location id] for each event. There is an Api, event details in an API portal. I have created a new source for that Api. I have created a Parameter with that ‘Id’ and a function, ‘detailsFunction’.  I am trying to invoke that function by passing each ‘Id’ to the api portal to pull the details info and build another table, event details. But I get stuck after pulling few records as I get a 404 error. I verified that in the Api portal- there is no details info for that id, 25679. I tried to delete ‘rows with errors’, but didn’t help.

Any suggestion? Many thanks in advance.

  • @sohananahid it seems thread is quite old, however just wanted to check if you got any solution for the issue. I am facing same issue while using power bi artifact api end point, where i am passing user's graph id. Since for some users there are no results through API call. Its getting 404 not found.

@sohananahid check if API provider has a limit on how much data you can pull or how many calls you can make in a certain time period. Usually, there are limits from the API provider to control how much data a user can pull. Can you check that documentation?
