How to get data from 2 diffrent PowerBI datasets with all the filters and slicers
HI All,
I have 2 separate PBI files,
I want to create an additional "dashboard" that will gather info from the 2 other PBI datasets,
I know i can "get data > dataset" but my question is how do i keep all the filters and slicer in those datasets when "importing" to the new file ?, for example, if in PBI file 1 I have a measure that says $1000, and it uses about 10 filters and slicers, how can i get the same $1000 figure in another file when using get data > dataset ?

Hi Red217 ,
If you are referring to the datasets already published to the service, I do not think that is currently possible. You can connect to one published dataset at a time and keep the model but not alter it. See screenshot below.
If you choose to connect to them as Direct Query, you will have to rebuild your model (re-establish or create new relationships, re-create measures, etc). Also, some DAX functions are not available in Direct Query.

Thank you,
What do you think is the best method to get "numbers" (measures with filters) from another report to the current pbi
