How to get an alert when someone makes changes in Report on Power BI Service

Hi All,

Is there any way I can get notified when someone makes any changes in Publish report on PBI service?

Scenario: I have created reports using Desktop and publish it on PBI service. So I am the owner and admin of the report now I have shared this published report to 2 users as of now and assign them a MEMBER access on that workspace and reports. So, if anybody expect me made any changes in that published report so How would I know that who made what changes ?

Any leads would be really appreciated!

Hi Tahreem24,

According to your description, it seems that you want to alert other user when data change, right?

As I know, there is Data alert feature in service, but this  can only be set on tiles pinned from report visuals, and only on gauges, KPIs and cards. Alerts can be set on visuals created from streaming datasets that have been pinned from a report to a dashboard, but cannot be set on streaming tiles created directly on the dashboard using Add tile > Custom streaming data. You could refer to Data alerts in Power BI service for details.

In addition, if you want to get alerts when user reshare your report or build the report, this might not be achieved currently. You could submit this in  power-bi-ideas.

But my question is that I have shared reports with other pro users and if they make any changes into that report so will I get any notification?

As per my search, this feature is not implemented yet. Correct me If I am wrong.

Yes, as I mentioned above, this can't be achieved currently, I suggest you could post this requirement in power-bi-ideas.
