How to get Python from PBI to run on back end...

I would like to run my Python Script in PBI on the backend like I can with "R". How is that done? With R I have to do a remote connection to a Machine Learning Server. Does it do that by default? I have not found an example using Machine Learning Server with Python in Power BI.

Thanks!

@Anonymous ,

You need to install the remote access library for connection to ML Server with python. You may refer to docs below:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/machine-learning-server/install/machine-learning-server-windows-packages

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/machine-learning-server/install/python-libraries-interpreter

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/machine-learning-server/operationalize/python/how-to-authenticate-in-python

In addtion, currently power bi dataflow starts to support building simple ML Model without hard-code, you can refer to this doc:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-tutorial-build-machine-learning-model
