How to get Matrix table to display distinct value rather then sum up values.

I have a Project table which is built up of Sub Services and their Programs and further filters. The issue I have is that when I put it in the matrix table it adds up all of the values rathar then show the distinct values. Is there a way I can get the matrix table to show the distinct value? I have added in some diagrams below to show what I mean.
