How to get Dyanmics CRM multiple option set labels in Power BI

Hi

All my option sets in CRM have same relative values.

Using XRMToolBox's "PowerBi option-Set Assistant" i got the data Option set labels for a particular option set field and renamed the Table name.

For the next option set field i performed the similar steps, retrieved the option set labels and changed the table name

But, after refreshing the data in the first table is changed to newly retrieved data.

Please guide

Thanks,

Hino

Hi

I queried optionset field label using XRMToolBox's "Power Query (M) Builder". It also easily retrieves the selected field and rename the field to display name.

Thanks 🙂

Please find my scenario and approach

In Dyanmics CRM, my custom entity "Policy" has Policy Type and Policy Category option set.

I want to display both the option set's label in my Power BI chart.

Using XRMtoolbox's "Power BI options set assistant" i got the records for "Policy Type" option set and retrieved the option set table in Power BI and renamed the table.1.png

Then similarly using the option set assistant, i retrieved records for "Policy Category" option set in Power BI and renamed the table.2.png

Now, i have two different tables with  Policy Type data and Policy Category data.

But, once i refresh "Policy Type" table, it contains Policy Category's data.

How can i get the label for multiple option set fields having similar option values in same same entity.

Thanks

Hino

Hi Hino,

1. Are they different tables?

2. Do you mean the changes in the second table are applied in the first table?

3. Did you set different values?

Can you share some snapshots, please? Why not doing this in the Query Editor in Power BI?

Best Regards,

Dale
