Need to format the date column which is coming from Live data connection and direct model and the NULL values should be replaced with "NA" in the visual for the same column
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @vijayng17 ,
Sorry, you can‘t change the date format in a live connection.
However, if you datasource is dataset, you can first change your connection from live connection to DirectQuery. After changed, you can change the date format under column tools in Power BI Desktop.
For live connection data sources, there are more restrictions, which is for security reasons. If you need to modify the column format or replace the values, it is best to modify it in the data source and then connect with the live connection. Or use import connection mode or directquery connection mode.

Hi @vijayng17 NA is not a date format.
So if you want it the column should be "text".
According to the data type of the column Unfortunately In Power BI Desktop, it is not possible to change the data type for columns when you connect to SSAS using "Connect live" mode. You can change the data type in the SSAS database instead.
