How to force visuals in the service to display local time as opposed to UTC?

I have a card visual in a report in the service that displays current date and time using TODAY().

In Power BI desktop this displays the local time correctly. However in the service it switches to UTC. I understand that PBI service is always on UTC time. What would be an appropriate way to handle this using DAX so that even on the service the time shown on that card visual is local time and not UTC? Thank you.

this worked perfectly so long as the data connection through the gateway is setup.
