Hi Everyone !
I just encountered an error: when I export the file to PDF(PowerBI desktop), the PDF file doesn't fit to page. When I do same thing with same file PBI on another computer, it works. So I guess it's because my computer have an error by PBI version.
Anyone have same error and can fix this ????
Thanks !

Hi all,
2023-11-1 UPDATE:
Please refer to the steps below to update the Webview2 component this will help in resolving the issue:
1. Launch Power BI Desktop
2. Once it's running, open the Task Manager and expand Power BI Desktop:
3. Right-click on the WebView2 GPU Process and select "Properties"
4. Go to the "Details" tab and confirm the version number is >= 118.0.2088.76
(Note, this example screenshot shows a lower Product Version, so it does not have the fix)
5. If this version is higher than 118.0.2088.76, please have the customer download and try the fixed version runtime for 117.0.2045.60 here:
https://msedge.sf.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com/filestreamingservice/files/7c1ee55b-f219-4550-bdb7-08...
6. Extract the cab file using a tool like 7-zip (https://www.7-zip.org/)
7. Set the environment variable WebView2FixedVersionFolder to the file path.
Ex: WebView2FixedVersionFolder
8. C:\users\bwayne\Downloads\Microsoft.WebView2.FixedVersionRuntime.117.0.2045.60.x64
9. Launch Power BI Desktop and confirm through the Task Manager that version 117 is being used.
If the problem remains unresolved, please feel free to contact me.

Update WebView2 to 118.0.2088.76, it's work for me
Update WebView2 to 118.0.2088.76, it's work for me
Hi,
The problem came with the last update (October 2023). Scale is changing during printing when pdf export is started. The issue should be checked by PBI team because there was no issue in previous versions. Also, the problem does not depend on Windows resolution and printer settings. I am using the same pdf printer and there has been no change in this.

Hi,
The problem seems to be solved. I checked the same report in the Desktop App with the same settings. The exported data looks good in the exported .pdf format.
Regards.
HI all,
The problem still not solved. The print still not fit to pdf
Hi,
Could you check your Desktop version. My Desktop version is "2.122.746.0 64-bit"
Regards.
Previous versions returned to normal.
Today I generated the PDFs. They all came out correctly.
But Version: 2.122.746.0 64-bit (October 2023) - Still with error
The one we used that worked is Version: 2.112.1161.0 64-bit (October 2022)
How is this marked as Solved?
This is affecting the entire company, and is a work disruption. It is not even listed on this page as a Power BI Known issue:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/troubleshoot/known-issues/power-bi-known-issues
How can we escalate this so that Microsoft would prioritize the fix?
I'm having the same issue. Changing the default of 16:9 (720 x 1280) to 1200 x 1950 helps but leaves a bit of white space beneath the content in the pdf view.
I really hope this issue gets resolved soon as others have said, publishing to service isn't the most practical.
It seems ok to adjust canvas to 1200 * 1950 from 16:9, but why?
Hello everyone!
Here at the company, I'm facing this issue with PDF export in the Desktop version.
In the online version of Power BI, everything is fine!
Any screen size configuration is OK.
Now, in the Desktop version, even adjusting the Dashboards to the PDF format size is distorting them.
I've already tested the December 2022 version and the latest one released in October 2023, but with no success.
What I've noticed is that when generating, it automatically increases the zoom to 100% on the page and also in the Display tab, and in the Page Information category, it automatically exits the setting: Fit Page to Actual Size.
This happened from one week to another.
There must be some bug. Let's wait for a new update to fix this bug.
I have the same problem on several PC..

I encounter the same issue when exporting to PDF. Publishing in the service and then exporting to PDF takes time.
Please let us know when the export to pdf was solved.
Thank you.
Is this just a temporary solution or will it be like this from now on?
Hi @Quyvo
It's an Issue, so it will be fixed.
Publishing to Power BI Service is just a temporary solution.

I got the same problem, I realize the print was 50% cutted.
so.... my canvas size in powerbi was from 800px x 1300 px.
Keeping the ratio of my canvas (8/13), I resize the canvas to 1200px x 1950px.
In your powerbi will see the big canvas and empty space to right and bottom, but in the printing you will get the results as you expected.
true!
Hi @Anonymous
I just tried export to excel. It seems like complete page is proper fitting on single page even though I have scrolling.
I think you need to update your power bi version. sometimes it happens when using older version. I have latest power bi version.
If answered you question please give kudos and accept it as a solution!
Thanks.
