How to edit dates for data being pulled into Power BI
Hello, I use Power BI once every year to pull data with certain keywords in the description of invoices. Saying that I'm not familiar with all the terms and names of everything so I will do my best to describe my problem. I'm trying to update a date range to pull data with this keyword into Power BI. This is an existing Power BI file and we update the dates every year to pull in new or current data we need. I found an email from last year where I let IT know I figured out how to update the date range to pull the needed data. Based on that email, it looks like I went into the Model View and was able to update the date range from 10/1/20 - 9/30/21 to a new range of 10/1/21 - 9/30/22. So now I'm in Model View but I can't figure out where to change this date range, I think I've clicked on everything, right and left clicking everywhere. There is only one box shown below in the Model View. I can't find my notes from last year so I've been searching the internet. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone and can point me in the right direction?

I figured it out, if anyone wants to know. In Model view, click on the 3 dots or elipsis at the top right of the box, then click on Refresh Data, that will pull in current data then you can sort, filter, slicer or whatever you want to do.

If you are trying to filter the data getting loaded into the model, the filter you are referring to is in the Power Query portion. From the home tab of the ribbon, click Transform Data and you will enter Power Query. On the right-hand side, you should see any applied steps. If the data is being filtered as it loads, there should be a step there that references the filter and you can edit.
Thank you. I've followed your steps to filter the to the dates I need. I see there is data there, when I click on close and apply, refresh. There is no data showing. How do I get the data to the main screen?
