How to do a ranking given a prior condition?
How would I go about doing a ranking on PowerBI given a prior condition?
Such as, how could I create a single column that would rank annual sales for companies in the same industry, rather than across all industries?
Appreciate all the help in advance!
Hi toomuchnetflix,
To rank annual sales within each industry, you can create a calculated column use RANKX() function like below:
RankEachIndustry = RANKX( FILTER( ALLSELECTED(Table1),'Table1'[Industry]=EARLIER(Table1[Industry]) ), 'Table1'[Annual Sales], ,1)Best Regards,
