How to do Auto Refresh Preview in PowerBI Desktop

I created a Data Source on Power BI Connector for Jira.

On Power BI Desktop:
1. Go to Get Data** > OData feed
2. Use the Data Source URL and import the Jira tables.

By using this direct method, I don't see the Refresh options under Visualizations.

Every refresh of the previews needs to be done manually.

Is there any automated way to refresh all the default tables and the merged tables? Please suggest.

Only if you publish the reports to the service.
Please refer to the linked guides about the refresh options:

Hello @JeevanMallya!

We're developers of Power BI Connector for Jira

Here is an instruction on how to set up Auto Refresh Power BI:

  • Launch your report or dashboard by exporting data into Power BI Service.
  • Move to the Settings of the dataset and click Publish.
  • Sign in and ensure the "Privacy Level" is set correctly.
  • Select a workplace to publish your report or dashboard.
  • Review published report/dashboard.
  • Go to the Settings section again and select the workspace where you published your report.
  • Find your report under the Datasets and click on the vertical ellipsis to select Scheduled Refresh.
  • If you see the message that the data source can't be refreshed, click on Edit credentials and do an authentication.
  • Enter and enlarge Scheduled Refresh, select On, and configure the frequency and time you want to refresh your data source.
  • Click Apply and control refresh history to see all the updates.

Is there any other way like writing some scripts to do it?

Only if you publish the reports to the service.

Hi @JeevanMallya
There are no automatic refresh options with a power bi desktop.
But you should have a possibility to refresh the report from the "Front" views.
