How to display values by month

I’ve created a dashboard showing invoice comparisons and I’ve applied filters where you can break it down by rep/date/supplier. I have a column chart as one of the visualizations. When using the filters, the column chart only shows the bulk amount in one bar… does anyone know how to make it show a breakdown when selecting filters?

 

For example, if I filter by one rep for the first 3 months of the year, I want to see how many invoice comparisons they completed each month instead of one bar showing the total for those 3 months.

 

Is there a better visualization I should be using? If so, how?

 

I’m still learning Power BI… Any advice is appreciated!

    smccamey add month column on x-axis and then it will give the breakup by month.
