Hi all,
Basically, I've been asked to display the monthly loss over a period of 3 months, for every month. So basically, on Jan 1 (so one month before) I've got planned values for months Feb, Mar and Apr. On Apr 30, I've got realized values for the same 3 months.
I know this seems simple, but still' I'm getting a little error on how to display: for Jan, I want to see period Feb-Apr, for Feb, I want to see period Mar-May, etc, with a planned and realized value taken on Jan 1 and Apr 30 or Feb 1 and May 31 respectively.
Could somebody please help me on hwo to set this up? Please bear in mind that the numbers behind this are all excel...
Any help would be realy, really appreciated 🙂
For example:
| Value | Period/date | Values taken when | When |
| 3000 | Feb | Jan | Planned |
| 3500 | Mar | Jan | Planned |
| 2500 | Apr | Jan | Planned |
| 2900 | Feb | Apr (end point of Jan) | Realized |
| 3400 | Mar | Apr (end point of Jan) | Realized |
| 2200 | Apr | Apr (end point of Jan) | Realized |
| 3450 | Mar | Feb | Planned |
| 2400 | Apr | Feb | Planned |
| 4000 | May | Feb | Planned |
| 3350 | Mar | May (end point of Feb) | Realized |
| 2200 | Apr | May (end point of Feb) | Realized |
| 3800 | May | May (end point of Feb) | Realized |
Ok, I'll try but I think it's gonna be hard.. It's even hard to explain, haha. I've added a printscreen from Power BI with a bit of an example. So basically, we start measuring on the first of every month, for the month that is 3 months ahead (March in this case, with the green dot in it). So I have a value for March in Dec '22, Jan '23 and Feb'23. Each month, the value decreases a little And I want to know how much it decreases in total and in between.
Is that possible? Attached is a link with data for months March and April https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/172n6rrzluvYS7uiYFU6y70yUwhXgc-Q2/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=10109...
I'd be very very very grateful of someone could help me solve this 🙂
Hi @x-File ,
I'm a little confused about your needs, Could you please explain them further? It would be good to provide a screenshot of the results you are expecting and desensitized example data.
Thanks for your efforts & time in advance.
