How to detect the changes in Historical data while after incremental refresh
Hi @all,
Is it possible to detect historical data after an incremental refresh has occurred? How can we achieve this while using incremental refresh? Additionally, can we track the changes or updates made to the dataset during the refresh process, and is there a way to differentiate between new, updated, and unchanged data after the refresh? It would also be helpful to know if there are best practices for efficiently managing historical data in combination with incremental refresh.

As far as I know, it does not inherently provide a way to track historical changes or store previous versions of the data.
You will need to either adjust the source system by implementing a historical table to track changes, or establish an intermediate process that captures a daily snapshot of the data. This way, Power BI can access both the current data and the snapshot for comparison purposes.Best regards,
